Ivy Reference letters

<p>on ivy league university websites, most don’t say that you need to find two teachers who teach different tyupes of subjects (i.e. no two science teachers) for references.</p>

<p>however, there are a lot of people at my school who think that this is necessary. Is it? Or can I find two science teachesr for references who know me well and if I do, will this affect my chances (i.e. it will look like cherrypicking)?</p>
