<p>Hey y’all. A question. Is it too late to start the process? I’ve been hesitant about talking to coaches, but recently PR’d in an unnofficial 2k at 6:34.9, a gain of 27.4 seconds over my previous PR of 7:02.4. As a 6", 170, I’m within spitting distance of the lightweight limit. My first official 2k is next Friday. Is it too late to talk to coaches at that point? SAT score of 2080, takin again in October, projected scores on practices of 2250.</p>
<p>Never too late. I re-introduced myself in september of my senior year with a new 2k to a coach who had shown no previous interest. I had a likely by november. </p>
<p>I’m more of an exception than a rule, but if the conditions are in your favor then its not too late.</p>
