Ivy Track and Field

Does Ivy League schools have signing day?
Is there any document that I need to sign?
Because I heard other D1 schools have signing day for scholarships
and Ivy League schools doesn’t offer scholarships.

Thank you:)

No they don’t because tje don’t give out scholarships. They talk to athletes and recruit and do official visits like any other d1 schools, then they have your credentials reviewed after that- kind of like a practice application - you have to write a personal statement kind of essay. Then lateron you apply and the coach will go vouch for you in admissions…

How do I know this?

A sibling of mine was recruited by 6 ivies.

Nope, no signing in the Ivies. If you ever see a picture of a kid signing something while wearing their Ivy school hat and shirt with proud coaches and parents behind them…it’s a blank piece of paper. This I know from experience.

The only document you need to sign is your application. The first document you need to receive is a Likely Letter; the second document you need to receive is the official letter of acceptance. All athletes, regardless of division, need to receive that second letter (even if the athlete has signed a D1 NLI).

If you need more info on the Likely Letter (LL), do a search on this forum. Lots of great info on every aspect of the LL.
