Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship amd ACT scores

I recently found this scholarship and it seems like a good oppurtunity, but I do not know how to send my official ACT scores to them… Please help

What if I have more questions regarding the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation College Scholarship Program and the application process?

All questions should be directed to our Application Help Desk. You can email or call 800-941-3300. Please allow up to two business days for a reply. The Help Desk is staffed Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m to 5:00 p.m. EST.

Call Monday and find out what and how to send them, I think they also require 2 years of tax returns, letters of recommendation and an essay. Deadline is Nov 1 so there is not much time!

My D found out about this late Oct last year and didn’t have enough time to get everything done.

Deadline is actually Nov.3rd… three days helps

There is lots of info on the website and you can also email or call them.
Deadline is Nov 3, sorry if I said the wrong date.

But there is a lot to the application.

The student’s grades, EC, awards, leadership and community service. Essay and short answers. Looks like transcript and official test scores need to be uploaded.

The parents have to fill out forms and provide financial and household info. Three years of tax info (2014, 2013, 2012),
assets, if the parents are separated they have to each provide their info.

You need two academic recommenders, one from 11th grade in a core academic subject and one from a teacher that you have had for two years. That can be a problem. They need to complete their recommendation forms online. They will have only a few days to do this if you ask them Monday.

Principal or guidance counselor must complete a school profile online and provide info about the applicant.

So you see there are lots of parts to this application so you really need to get all if this done quickly if you want to apply.

All of this above info came from the link I posted, it’s all there. There is also a FAQ and you can contact them as well

Thanks, yes, if you are applying for many scholarships ( like my DD is) it’s really not that much. Questbridge is the one that seemed huge and also the deadline so soon ;-(

You can submit your ACT and SAT scores by printing them from the testing companies’ web sites and then scanning and uploading them to our online application. You can also take a screenshot and submit your scores that way. As long as the score report has your full name on it, the foundation will consider the scores official.

The foundation does not always see questions on this board, so if you have any others, please contact us directly at scholarships@jkcf.org or by calling 800-941-3300.
