Make sure to pay attention to emails from JMC and counselors.
Most people do not, that is why they never take advantage of many opportunities JMC has to offer. To name a few MDLP, MADI, Human Rights Lab, Living Archive, etc. JMC is an incredible program if you use all resources.
Explore a possibility of earning a second major from JMC or a minor from JMC or CERES. It is not that hard but will make your resume better.
Make sure to meet Lauren Michalak early on, she is a field experience coordinator, knowledgeable and helpful. That’s how you find out about many internships.
Take an extra online class or two during summer semester to meet general college requirements, if you can afford it. It will give you more time to concentrate on your major during school year.
Consider Study Away programs, especially if Study abroad is not affordable for you. Many come with a stipend, some earn you a college credit and ALL will look good on your resume.
