In as well! OOS and applied for finance. I didn’t realize they don’t get their major until junior year as another parent just said. Will have to read more on how complex it is to actually get finance as a major junior year.

Accepted out of state 4.0 unweighted, 4 different honor societies, 12 season varsity athlete and captain junior and senior years, various clubs and community service! Congratulations to the class of 2030!!!

Good luck, alot can happen btw now and 5/1 decision day! My son is deferred from 3 (big football schools, SEC/ACC), heard them all in course of a week in December. Big downer, but they’re not “No” at this time. We’ll see what happens and eval other offers of acceptances

Just got admitted to the general school!! I got admitted to the School of Music after my Dec 6 audition! OOS, 3.8 Unweighted, 4.67 Weighted on 5.0 scale, 1390 SAT, majority AP and G/T classes, involved in several clubs and honor societies for music, theatre, and community service.

We are OOS and D26 does have 8 acceptance so far with 3 more schools to hear from, so at least we know she’s going to college 
We were just hoping for JMU as a big school option for her and not sure she wants to wait until April to make a decison. We’re not thrilled with the current big school acceptance. We know where WE want her to go, but it’s not our decision to make…

Daughter accepted in state. 4.13, 7 APs, tons of volunteering, 5 years varsity sport, club president, Internship, NHS. They do not admit based on major so they will enter into the major they selected. For those that require admission such as business, nursing, they will have to apply Sophomore year. JMU does not offer much merit and Honors college released after acceptance depending on when you applied for Honors. Congrats everyone JMU is amazing! I have a current junior. Go Dukes!

Daughter was accepted! OOS - 3.94 unweighted, 4.38 weighted, 1260 SAT. JMU is her #1 choice!

Accepted!! OOS 3.67 weighted. 1230 super score. We’re extremely thrilled. My student has many deferrals so far. This was a nice surprise.

My child got in but many in his strong high school were deferred. Are others hearing the same?
Yes. Also heard about some deferrals. We’re waiting to hear re Honors College but nothing in the portal yet (4:33pm).
Daughter was accepted! OOS GPA 3.82UW/4.09W 3 AP, 2 DE, 8 Honors. Applied Test Optional.
