Has anyone seen an Honors College application change from “pending” to decided yet?

Not that we’ve been checking constantly, except we have and - no. Not yet.

Honors College decisions are out, FYI. 1/28 10am. (College was closed for snow the last two days.) My son was deferred to RD for HC decision. Good luck to others!

Honors College decisions just posted. I got in!!

Where did you find it? (The MyMadison is a bit confusing)

If you go to Applicant Center where it says you were admitted, scroll down to Honors College and My Honors Applications. Where it used to say Pending there is now a decision.

Just heard back on honors - my son got in! :slightly_smiling_face:

Does anyone know when merit or financial aid is announced? Do you get an email if you receive any? Thanks!

Based on last year’s posts, it looks like merit e-mails went out sometime between now and 2/13, and the preliminary financial aid report was available in the portal on 2/14/15.

Can someone help me with a housing question: Is housing based on deposit date or lottery? Does it really matter when you put down a deposit? Thanks!

It does not matter anymore. They changed their process last year and deposit date no longer gives priority. They rank areas instead now (Village, Bluestone, etc.)

Do you get to select a preference? Or its luck of the draw?

Just got notice that I received a Madison Award for $10,750 making it 75% in-state tuition. This makes is actually affordable so I’m really excited. Anyone get merit today?

That’s great news, congrats!

Congrats! Via e-mail or in the portal?

Both. Got an email announcing the award with a link to the MyMadison Scholarship hub.

We received an email as well; slightly different amount ($10,000) and the name was not Madison Excellence, but rather Madison Recognition. It lists the award as ‘prestigious need based’ which is surprising since our SAI is fairly high (38,000). Did yours mention need or was it fully merit based? I’m shocked we would be considered for need.

My daughter received the Two Year Room Award for $6500 (per year I believe)!

Mine was fully merit - we didn’t complete the FAFSA.
