James Madison University Early Action for Fall 2024 Admissions

I agree that they probably wouldn’t start the tease four days out, unless someone in Communications jumped the gun and the admissions people told them to chill, which is why they ended the story with “mid-to-late” January.

Why is no one thinking this Monday?

Whatever happens, I’m sure the portals will be getting refreshed by the minute at 6:00 tonight.

What is 6? Is that when they typically come out?

I’m going with Tuesday.

Nothing magic about 6 but lots of schools release in the 6-7 timeframe if they want to make it an evening release. Of course, it may not be tonight.

You sure didn’t venture too far out on that limb, did you?

They started these type of instagram posts two/three days before in 2022. So my money is on Tuesday.

Ugh!!! That’s kinda cruel to do this now and wait till Tuesday ….my poor daughter is bugging out :joy::joy:

I still can’t find the Instagram post that was referenced.

Its an IG story on the schools main handle.

And there’s a chance JMU will be closed again tomorrow because of snow. School districts in Northern VA have already started closing for tomorrow

They are torturing these kids.

If you check last year’s EA thread you’ll find very similar posts about Instagram, the excruciating wait after those JMU “get ready” posts, and finally getting decisions 5 days later.

And that would put us right at Tuesday, a day we are suspecting.

It’ll come out eventually. Just trying to remind myself that as long as it’s within the month of January, it doesn’t matter what day it is.

I found this:

When is my eID disabled?

  • Undergraduate and Continuing Education applicants typically lose access two weeks after the start of the semester for which you applied if you were not admitted or did not accept admission to JMU.

So…sounds like all applicants experience this, regardless of acceptance. Unless you accept admission, and then it won’t disable.
