Does everyone have a Student ID already on portal?
Also this:
- Admitted Applicants transitioning to students who have accepted the admission offer and submitted the deposit payment will receive an email from noreply@jmu.edu welcoming you to JMU and directing you to activate or change your eID password.
The eID created for an applicant stays the same when you become a student.
How often must I change my eID password?
You are required to change your password every 90 days, unless your only relationship with JMU is as an applicant. Applicants are only required to change their passwords after transitioning from applicant to student.
I just signed out and back in to my sonâs portal and did not have an issue.
We have but slightly different dates: 7/16/24 and 10/14/24âŠ
Hmmmm
We applied Oct 1 so Iâm assuming itâs one year later.
I am seeing this now in the âMy Accountsâ section of the portal. My son applied on Nov. 1, 2023.
Ah, so this is how they set it up, so that applicants donât have to reset every 90 days.
So they manually act like you last changed it next summer, so that it wonât expire until one year after the application was submitted.
Under that does it say " to update your email address, please contact the appropriate admitting office"?
Let me check
Yes, we have that.
Yes it does.
We have that too so weâre admitted, right?
I certainly hope thatâs the case. Hopefully, we all find out for sure soon.
We have the same message. Ours says eID password expires 8/10/24. My daughter applied 8/10/23.
We never noticed this message before. Did this just appear for all of you? It definitely wasnât there before today?
I wouldnât read into that ⊠admitting office can be undergraduate or graduate as well
Itâs new today for us, yes
