I know the waiting is difficult, but I wish everyone the best of luck next week.

Who knows! We may be surprised today. I know that Harrisonburg may be getting snow on Tuesday so that may delay a bit, but hopefully soon

I would like to think unless they lose power, the internet will still be accessible

Did you hear it’s next week for sure? This is killing me lol!

It’s all speculation based on how it was done in previous years. It’s anyone’s guess at this point

I haven’t heard anything, but I do know people in admissions. They aren’t sharing

I believe in the beginning of the week the admissions webpage said decisions in Mid-January

it now says Mid-Late January.

You’re right. It’s now been changed to “mid-late”: Admissions Dates and Deadlines - JMU

I am wondering if they got a huge amount. In my son’s year (2022) they had 21,000 apply. Maybe they are behind schedule?

Seems like JMU is trying to delay by another week.

That is so sneaky

LOL! Mid-January is actually Tuesday of next week.

Correct, and “mid-late” is probably the following week.

My high school senior also applied EA and recieved an email this week from the Dean of Admission requesting her 2nd semester courses. She is taking all her classes at the local community college (dual enrolling) and only had 1st semester classes to report on her application. It was good to hear that he atleast reached out for the info! That also made me think they’re still processing applications so I’m not surprised the date has been pushed back.

Anyone else receive this request?

Nope

My son applied on October 31. We did not receive this request.

Are everyone’s students dual enrolling at the local college? She has no classes at the high school so she didn’t have a “senior year” 2nd semester transcript to provide upon applying. It may be nothing but my point was it appears that they’re still sorting through applications.

Our dual enrollment means they are taking the class AT the HS and it counts as a college course as well when you pay for it . She doesn’t attend the HS at all but takes them at the college ?

Nope. And I know in NoVa it’s the same as yours; take courses at the HS. But in Southern VA, she only takes college courses with college kids through the local college. She doesn’t haven’t to check in at the hs and hasnt stepped foot in her HS this year. Thats probably the sole reason for JMU reaching out to get her 2nd semester courses because she gets her assignments through the college. It’s kind of dope though; she has 2 classes in person a day (a few are virtual) and is out by 11am.
