Jan-2012- Biology (E/M)

I put that water evaporated quicker from the southern side but somehow that doesn’t seem right…

For gallbladder, I had NO IDEA. I put ‘cut off smell’ or something. I thought it shouldve been ‘cut off sensory neurons to the gallbladder’, but the answer choice was ‘cut off sensory from the gallbladder’

i think the marsupial/placental one was with the fully develops inside mother.
for the one where it said that the allele disappeared or something, was it genetic drift or genetic role? dont remember.
@amandagrace guessed on the gallbladder one also. i picked cut off sensory to gallbladder. not sure if its supposed to be cut off motor from gallbladder.

did anyone put that the different substrate composition for the one with ura? i was going between that and different burrow density.

I put different substrate composition

ok good.
the rRNA with the multicellular thing question was pretty tricky. i ended up putting C, which was like specific sets of mRNA are made.

wasnt it an “except” question?

something about posterior pituitary?

did you take E or M but in the general section

tropical rain forest

biome characterized by high altitudes and plants low to the ground- tundra?

gallbladder question about cutting the motor or sensory neurons

hmm there was some experiment question about different light levels and oxygen production. is oxygen produced in the dark or light reactions. Where in the chloroplast?

yeah I actually don’t remember a lot of it but i thought it was pretty easy

Tropical rainforest has tall, broad leaf trees and nutrient-poor soil

Yes, it’s tundra

It’s motor nerves, because sensory nerves would convey impulses from the gallbladder to the brain, not from the brain to the gallbladder, which the question is asking for

The inner membrane (thylakoids)

the oxygen production, was one of the answer choices photolysis during photosynthesis?
any guesses on the curve this time? -2,3?

not sure what im going to do…
for those who took M, the question with HDXII, why is it present in animals but not plants, was it II only? the one where it said that the gene evolved after the diversion of plants and animals

@fumarate how about the experiment with the plants and the layers of containers. where does the oxygen come from? i put photolysis

so we’re going with the motor neuron ans? was that A or B?

what were the exact choice for the gallbladder one again?

Wouldn’t the photolysis one be calvin cycle and inside the stroma since it was contained in a dark container because sheets were covered??

i think it was A)cut sensory nerves to gallbladder and B)cut motor nerves from gallbladder

When the temperature of the water rises, did the O2 Production increase because of enzymes?

Darn. I wasn’t sure about that calvin cycle/photolysis one.

=( down to a raw score of 76 now…any hopes of 800 for M?
interestingly enough, i decided to sleep more and study less, but i guess it came back with the sensory/motor one, the muscle contraction of troponin one, and the epithelial cells of the gut one.

no calvin cycle/dark reaction doesnt occur because its “dark.” it just means no light is necessary. water is broken down into oxygen during the light reaction by the energized chlorophyll
