I’m in a dilemma here. I’m not sure if I should take the Jan SATs (the late registration is in 2 days). I took the Kaplan course in Nov. and I have been reviewing sporadically in Dec. I’m a Junior and this will be the first time that I will take the SATs. I’m afraid that I will be busy with APs and should just take it now. Would it be strategic for me to take it now or later? How much time does everyone devote to SAT prep on average? If I start prepping/reviewing now, What are the chances that I’ll do well on it? I’d just like everyone’s advice on this, since I know many of you are very knowledgeable about the SATs.
Thanks!

take it in Jan. Since it’s your first time, it doesn’t really matter what your get on it because you can always retake. Use it as an assessment of your strengths and weeknesses. Also, you will see how the real ETS test differs from the Kaplan practice tests.
