Today, I called the Admissions Office of a college that placed me on their waitlist.
After telling me they did not anticipate using their waitlist, the man asked what university I will be attending.
I said I was not sure. (I was admitted to the Jan-Start Program at Northeastern and plan on spending my Fall term at another university. I am not sure whether or not I will spend all four years at the other university or transfer to Northeastern for the Spring term.)
Without me telling him all of this (and that is what sparks my question), he told me that colleges will rescind an admission if they see that a student put down two deposits.
He did not probe any further, but I told him I was accepted at Northeastern for the Jan-Start Program. In this case, he said, putting down two deposits is okay.

What I want to know is: Do Admissions Offices at other colleges / universities see which colleges / universities we put our deposits?
