I’ve been trying to find a bag that’s not a backpack that I’ll be able to fit all the stuff I need in…but I also don’t like messenger bags much because your stuff isn’t easily accessible. I’ve been using totes for ages, but I feel like I can’t find one that’ll be big enough for my college stuff…so I was searching around, and I found this bag. It seems good. It’s a Jansport messenger with almost 1900 cubic inches of room, but has a zip top rather than the flap. It’s on sale right now from ebags for $35 including shipping…so I think I’m gonna get it.

Does anyone have any experiences with this bag?

Yeah, it’s not girly, but if it fits my stuff and isn’t ugly, it’s okay. I can’t find a big enough tote bag, I don’t do backpacks, and every other messenger bag I’ve found has the irritating flap.

I don’t do backpacks. Didn’t I clearly state that? I honest to God hate them, and the only time since 5th grade that I’ve used one is when I was on crutches and had to because you sure can’t use a shoulder bag with those!

backpacks are basically just shoulder bags for me since i only ever wear one strap. they’re not THAT bad (the only one I’ve ever had is the generic jansport one that everybody else seems to have). why do you hate them that much?

i don’t mind the flaps too much but the size of these bags bother me. I had a northface messenger that I used for a year but I just found it to be wayy too big. it was annoying and unnecessary since i dont carry a lot

Why do you need such a big bag? I’m pretty sure most people don’t carry all their textbooks around to their classes. Are you just planning to use it for your laptop?

I got it and didn’t like it so I returned it. BUT, I need a big bag because I have some back to back classes, one of which is Anatomy+Physiology and there are 3 books for that class including one that’s about 2.5" thick…
