January 2013 SAT I CR (Japanese Rice, and others)

Same about the oil! I was like is this a trick? I said 6 as a possible answer.

Oil and gas I put 5 because it said “at least” 1:8. Could have been 6 or 7 too. I remember having trouble with gasoline-related ratio problems in Algebra II so I kind of hated that one even though it was easy.

I really wish you guys can talk more about CR…

btw, If I missed one MC for Math, can I still get 800?

I said 6 too… ^And no, I don’t think that’s possible

what was the oil one about?

The answers to the oil question could have been 5 6 or 7

I think for that one you can put 8 as well right? 8:48 → 1:6 … Anyone tells me… Please!!

It was 40, not 48.

@Halcyonheather, but when u put in oil, the total will change. 8:(40+8)

I got 15 for the last grid in answer. The 6sqrt(27) = 18sqrt(3) 18-3 = 15

Same 15 for the last one and then I got 15 for one of them in the middle I don’t remember which question specificly

I know, but they wanted the ratio of oil to gas. It’s not the same as a percent.

5, 6, or 7 gallons of oil to 40 gallons of gas.
5, 6, or 7 gallons of oil to 45, 46, 47 total gallons of environmentally-unfriendly liquid.

I put 6.67O:40G = 1:6

oh my f* god. I misread the question. What will I got if I missed that one and another multiple choice? 700?

Interesting number choice, pmartin.

@jansatomg: Assuming you didn’t omit any, I predict you’ll get a 730 because that’s what I got after missing two math questions on the PSAT.

The oil and gas one was very simple you didn’t need to so solute/total solution.

dam, that oil question messed me up. i suck with ratios. i was thinking percent, like halcyonheather said, so i ended up putting 40/7 :(

I was psyching myself out with that question because I did prep with percent solute last night lol so I was over thinking it in the beginning

OMG. 730. Then I might think about canceling the score. Since I prolly didn’t do that good for reading as well.

@halcyonheather I like to keep thing interesting  If only it were humans correcting the test I think they would have gotten a kick out of it!
