January 2013 SAT I CR (Japanese Rice, and others)

@Jansat ok thanks that makes me feel much better.

And for the essay I used the Aeneid and his voyages, Copernicus’ refusal to conform to Ptolemy’s heliocentric theory and the Salt Satyagraha

@djokovic obviously >1. It had a much steeper curve than a regular x^2 parabola, so it had to be more than 1

I ddin’t have a question on pornography, but it woudl be “many religious zealots claim”

@Ilikepie123- oh wow what was ur prompt?

@Ilikepie123 The experimental should be a girl about art criticizing… And those about Cathy… And some articles… I don’t quite understand that one tho

Alright, got that.

@ericrootbeer
you mustve just looked at the graph if you got a>1. It definiteyl was steep, but that was to throw you off. you had to graph it and solve for the equation

@jansatomg hm lol I don’t remember anything about Cathy

and @hebheb I had the essay prompt on imitation, creativity and originality

ohh i had the essay prompt on money. did anyone have that one? i had a hard time thinking of examples…

alright does anyone want to start a compilation of questions? like all in 1 post?

Is there a consensus on the parabola question? Most people are saying a>1 but there are people also arguing for a=1. I personally tried both but I ended up putting a>1

Did anyone get desiring for the Cold War passage? since it said U.S. wanted lands

I got lacking I think

Yes I got desiring. According to revisionists right?
For the last Cold War question did anyone put A- something that included the word economically?

Can we just go over all of the cold war questions? I just feel so horrible about that one

@ilikepie123
i am more than positive that it is a=1. i jsut looked at my work on my calculator. It was designed to trick people. You had to solve for the function f(x) where f is a quadratic. You couldnt just look at the graph and assume a>1 because it was steep

a>1

The roots were at -1.5 and -2.5 so…

@Rhythmmelon @mystic1996
yeah, i got the one with economically. I also put desiiring, but i heard some people but anoyther answer choice…

@kirving2 What was the question exactly again? And do you remember the answer possibilities?

^I just realized I misread the graph
