Also for the first question in section 10, it was maintained, not did maintain right ?

Also do you guys remember any questions for sea-horse, architect, and short passage about actors ? other than those we already talked about ?

Ah, good call on the “dearth…diminution” one. My bad.

@anysky: Yeah, it was from the Japanese rice passage, asking what the purpose was of the use of (rhetorical) questions in the last half of the passage. One choice was to introduce new problems, the other was to underscore particular predicaments. The answer was to underscore particular predicaments.

I don’t remember the section 10 question with “maintain”, but don’t worry, the answer wouldn’t be “did maintain” - that’s not great English right there.

Does anyone know what the curve might be? Any predictions?

I found the writing section easier than usual, the critical reading a tad more difficult, and I don’t really know for math, but everyone seems to be saying that it was hard.

So probably:
W: Harsh
CR: Moderate
M: Moderate?

But they weren’t rhetorical questions. Sure, they were predicaments, but the author was analyzing everything he had said and wanted to change the way everyone felt about brown rice. For example, he introduced the NEW problem of bringing brown rice and nutrition together or something- that wasn’t mentioned anywhere before. that’s why i chose ‘new problems’

I remember visual description as an answer for sea-horse passage
and something like metaphor for short passage.
ALso does anyone remember the questions for architect other than autonomous one ?

No, it’s different SAT for each continent (other than US) so there’s Asia, Africa, Europe, Oceania (?)

I took the european one and I had readings about someone having to dust a whole mill for hours, discussion on whether we should let people film in court or not and I can’t really remember the rest, I was sort of brain-dead…
My essay was on acting differently depending on the circumstances and my maths was the same one as the american one a few years back (thought it was pretty easy compared to the practice I had done…)

Yeah, I choose new problems :
ugh I feel like I did horrible on reading too and CR is usually my best section

@diddly123

I agree with you totally.

I’m in agreement with anysky and diddly123… I also said to introduce new problems because if I am remembering clearly, the questions he asked were topics not previously regarded in the passage. Yes they were predicaments (without a doubt), but he was not underscoring anything because they were not previously mentioned. You can’t emphasize a point that hasn’t been made yet; therefor, it was an introductory to a new problem because it was the first time these specific points were being mentioned. Both words need to be right.

That was just my reasoning…

I love you people

It’d be helpful if we could find the passage online…anyone remember any specific lines from it to google?

Why is the one for the cold war passage lacking and not desirous?

Those of you stating that the writing was “harsh,” are you being serious, or are you just not confident? At the end of section 10, I started laughing quietly and annoyed some of the people around me when I lightly said something like “omg this is so easy.” Where was all the trouble in the 25 minute writing?

Cr, on the other hand,…damn Cold War…

Fizz I think they meant a harsh curve so it was easy.

I put desirous too…

@fizz14 i got the fish question wrong (pretty sure- i said that “For” was wrong), i put “by the same token” instead of “for example”, and the “adaquately preserved” i put “no error” (idk if that’s right/wrong though). Everything else was good though :D. This writing was weird though. i got a 780 on october and i feel like i didnt do as well on this

it said that the explanation for the war of 1812 was “wanting”, or lacking, because historians still couldnt find it or something

Two questions:

Have we figured out for sure which one was the experimental CR section?

Does anyone remember the math question about “which expression could be a prime number for a prime number greater than two?” I felt like there were a few correct ones…

Mak, I know as a fact that I had experimental Math (2 Grid-in sections) and the CR passages I got were Seahorse, Cold War, Architecture, and Brown Rice. So yeah, any CR section not containing any of these passages was def the experimental one.
