January 2013 SAT I CR (Japanese Rice, and others)

Do you remember if 10^8 and 10^9 was a choice? If it was, then I think I put that, but I can’t remember/

And yes, 10^8<x<10^9 was a choice
I’m pretty sure the humble question was for the architecture passage…and I put not autonomous I think?

Edit: Okay, maybe not and I’m just going crazy.

also not autonomous for the seahorse

I put “not autonomous” for the seahorse question.

What di you guys get for the question in the seahorse passage about the uniqueness of the second paragraph?

I put “not autonomous” because the author was saying how humans are able to be influenced or something.

The uniqueness of the 2nd paragraph was that it was visualizing the scene or whatever.

“in the seahorse passage about the uniqueness of the second paragraph?”

I put the answer about visual imagery, if that’s the question you mean.

I remember a small passage on plays. Did passaage 2 person say one’s idea is problematic?

What did you put for the one about the “Summer 1953” question? I said it was to set the mood of the decade.

yes, that’s the question i’m referring to. But wasnt the whole passage really visually descriptive? the question asked for the reason why the paragraph was unique

not autonomous was for the architecture one

how about how the person felt when she dived into the ocean?? I think I put placidity

The 2nd paragraph was visually descriptive because literally all it did was tell you the setting. The rest of the passage did have imagery in it, but not nearly as much. The rest was more of the thoughts on seahorses of the author.

:( I put satirical commentary instead of visual imagery…I was deciding between the two…
And for the plays one, I said that it was ________ because there are many ways to prepare.
I forgot what was in the blank, sorry…
That question actually took me forever because I read it as what would the person in passage 2 say about passage 1 instead of the other way around…
And yeah, placidity.

I picked the “ways to prepare” choice as well.
And the seahorse one was describing the pool’s placidity.

Yea it was placidity. Because the water was so calm and they disrupted it.

It definitely was not satirical comedy. The author was very honest with her opinions.

It sucks to have a reading experimental…

Yeah, I also put “satirical commentary” because of how the author described the fish’s eyes.

And for the diving question, i put “placidity”

Orchid bolom, the word was limited in the blank,

I picked the ways to prepare one also.
