I thought we could all prepare and review together. We can ask each other questions.

Also doing the Bio test. Just wondering…do we actually have to memorise the Krebs Cycle as a whole, or just certain essential parts?

My PR book says “You do not need to memorize the whole thing, just be able to recognize it”

But at the beginning of the cellular respiration chapter, it says “this is just the minimum you need to know”

Not very helpful sorry :(

I already took the Biology Subject test and am planning to take it again in 10 (oh my, only ten days left?!) days. The Krebs cycle was not tested on last time. I think it’s the least important part but if you have time you should memorize it as best as possible. I honestly don’t think, however, that it will hurt you if you don’t.

Hmmmm, alright. Also, which books are the two of you using? I’m trying Barron’s.

I’m using PR, Barron’s and CB plus my biology textbook - Inquiry into Life.

PR for what I need to know, Barron’s to learn and textbook for supplemental info. Practice tests in PR Barrons and CB books.

I only used Barron’s last time and scored higher than expected but it kind of has more information than necessary. I also have the blue CB book.

Okay then…I presume all of us are ready. I’ve finish reading Barron’s, just wondering whether I should read it again. Gah, it’s so soon!

Do you guys think it’s necessary for me to learn about all the different kingdoms in detail if I’m taking the molecular bio test? How much of that stuff is on the portion that the tests share?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I don’t think you need to know all four kingdoms in detail. You should know the main characteristics. I do think, however, that kingdom animalia will be tested.

@libby123 My Barron’s book says that you should know the main characteristics and examples.

“Although your teacher may test you on the specifics of the Krebs cycle, the College Board will not.” is what Barron’s says. :)

anyone stuck between taking e or m for the last 20 questions? I’ve heard e is easier but most of my friends and people on cc seem to be taking m.

I am definitely going with e. I just suck at Chemistry and in my opinion, e is easier.

I tend to finish 80 questions in 30 mins so I’m just going to flip through both sections and decide the day of :D

Sorry for hijacking, but out of curiosity, How different is the AP exam compared to the SATii? I’m not taking the exam of January but on May and was curious

AP is probably more in depth and detailed. I’m in IB Bio though so I wouldn’t know.

Anyone got any practice tests from CB? I have some from Barron’s and PR but I’ve heard those are usually different from the actual test.

I have the CB book. The type of questions are mostly similar, some are even the same.

Hey! I took SAT2 bio last month but cancelled because I felt ill

I’m finishing cliffs monday, doing this review routine w/ barons + (5 practice tests by friday)

Just a note - everything is not necessarily covered by barrons. The phosophorus cycle, for example is not in barrons but was on the exam.

Also, does anyone have anything on reading cladeograms?

My education has just been weird because of school system transfer so there’s some stuff I know rlly well and stuff I’m just horrible at.

Oh well.
