<p>So if an essay is average and a tiny bit off topic but the whole 2 pages are filled with an introduction and conclusion, would the score be 8 to 10?</p>
<p>@ThePariah if it doesn’t answer the prompt, its a 0. However, 0’s are very rare, so yeah, you should be expecting around an 8ish</p>

<p>@sirclutch23 Wait, you can get your scores early? Wow, if that’s the case, I wish my school used that same software. Do you have any idea what the curve is (how many you missed on CR, W, and possible essay score)? BTW, congrats on your score!</p>
<p>@workSAT2014, let me be a bit clear, the essay is probably not off topic at all, it was just taking the topic of how obstacles (or whatever the terms were) affect progress a bit too general. But the examples were all made up, such as a couple that had hardships during their relationship but came out to love each more than they ever would. Also another example was an actor who puts extreme passion into his acting vs. his peers and eventually comes out to become a greater actor. And another example that I couldn’t remember. So 3 examples…that’s at least an 8 right? </p>

I feel so bad the 2 math problems I got wrong. The intersection one (I picked 0) and the 1/2x=y thing I picked 0
They were so easy looking back at it in retrospect
But I got the miles and trips one right… </p>

It’s weird but I did at least 100 points worse at home on practice tests than on the real test, I’m pretty sure of that…so that’s pretty weird. </p>

<p>@ThePariah you’ll be fine! an 8 is normal and an average score for a competently written essay! </p>
<p>Honestly with 2 pages, intro, conclusion, and 3 decent examples you’ll probably get at least a 10. Look at Les Perelman’s SAT essay studies.</p>
<p>My kid’s school also has Naviance, but the school doesn’t update it. They expect you to update the scores yourselves.</p>

<p>Depends on how well written it is, you could still get a 10 maybe. Don’t worry mate only 9 more hours</p>
