<p>That really is not what is referred to as a wait list. Your son is deferred until all auditions are completed and then they can finish filling the slots that remain and your son is still in contention for those slots. </p>
<p>A wait list is something that is created AFTER all slots are offered and some applicants are offered a spot on a wait list in case those who are offered admission don’t take the offer. That is not the same as a deferral. </p>
<p>I believe your son is deferred which is very positive. It means he is still in contention for a spot in the class. It doesn’t mean that he has to wait to see if those offered take a slot. That is my understanding given this time of year. Wait lists go out when all the admissions offers are all made.</p>
