<p>A great J-Term option is the study abroad program. For an OOS student, the cost wasn’t much more than a normal 3.0 credit course and financial aid IS available (I love UVA’s finaid office 
). I went to Berlin in January 2008 with Dean/Professor Stewart, and it was one of my best experiences at UVA. It was intense in that we were constantly moving around, but I learned so much about German culture and life that it hardly felt like “work”. It’s also a great option if you can’t work a regular study abroad program into your coursework.</p>
