!!Japanese Question!!

Hello!
I was studying for Japanese with Listening (I’m taking the test next week)
and I have a problem while solving a ‘Vocabulary and Grammar’ question.
The question was,

ああきい_がほしいです。
a)ので
b)が
c)の
d)こと

I ‘officially’ learned Japanese only when I was in 7th and 8th grade
Still still I have been using Japanese from then.
So, I could not explain why, but intuitively I first thought もの should be the best answer.
Apparently, the word was not one the list, so I choose こと instead.

The book, however, says ‘c’ is the answer.
Furthermore, the explanation was very strange
It says the meaning of this sentence is “My brothers like to draw picture”, which does not make sense to me.

What is the correct answer?

I think there is a problem with the quesition. If の is the answer, normally the word before can be either a noun or an adjective. However, the ああきい part does not make sense at all. But I guess it’s an adjective. You might wanna check it again.

btw ‘adjective+ の’ is a less redundant way of saying ‘adjective + noun’. It’s kind of a fixed expression. So none of the others fits.
