JD/PhD

I’m curious as to what can one actually do with these degrees (in conjunction) provided that you have no intention of going into consulting or academia.

I ask because I saw one in particular offered by George Mason Univ offering both the Econ PhD and the JD together. Given the GM’s proximity to DC, i’m wondering as to what opportunities may be available that would make use of both degrees.

Any imput or random ideas are wlecome

Thanks,

I don’t know what use it is, but if you enjoy scholarship and they give you a decent fellowship, it might be an interesting and cheap way to get a JD.

I’ve heard that there are quite a few Phd/JD patent lawyers.
