Anybody here have a suggestion for me: about size 4/6, small-ish waist? I can fit the hip parts just fine, but the pant’s waist didn’t taper like my body does. (The new pants I tried lately had a 2 inch zipper and the legs were skin-tight…both yuck! I think I was trying pants designed for teenagers.)

Jeans these days weren’t made for my body at all, no matter the size, no matter the brand. Suggestions? (I’m def. not a “curvy” type, because those curves didn’t match mine. The waists don’t go in enough and the legs were too tight.)

Any access to a Levi store? I swear they have something in their 500 series for any body type/age range. Me? I LIVE in my 515 longs. Good luck finding “your” jeans…it’s not a fun process.

No real waist, no hips or butt. Gave not your daughters jeans to my sister. They just kinda fell down. She has hips and loves them Jag jeans work well for me. Size 0 to 2. Of course 4’s from years ago with waist are snug. Vanity sizing I think

Agree with somemom on the no-waist body type. My waist to height ratio is well below .50 which is apparently the cutoff for the apple/unhealthy body type and my bmi is within normal limits (although I could stand to lose 10) but I have slim hips and no butt so it’s hard to find jeans to fit. I just don’t go in between the rib bones and the hip bones and I didn’t even when I was an 85 pound high schooler (long time ago). I bought some matchstick jeans and cords (not toothpick!) at j. crew today and they fit well. I didn’t get the way low-rise but the slightly low-rise.

My new favorites are my NYDJ but I’m going to try the QVC Today’s Special Value on Saturday (Sept. 4). They’re only 1/4 the price of NYDJ and have gotten great reviews. You can order them now at the discounted price: Average size = item A211936. Petite= A211937. Tall= A211938.

Somemom, I have a friend with a body shape like yours; she finds mens’ jeans fit her better than the women’s styles (buys them in the teenage boy department).

I second the Seven for all Mankind recommendation, but they cost a ton, so go the Nordstrom Rack or some such if you have one – or as one of my friends does, try them on in an expensive dept. store, find out your size, and bid for them on eBay.
I hate how jeans with “stretch” feel good in the AM but are falling down by the PM – anyone else notice that?

I do my shopping online. JJill has a range of sizes. They have many jean styles. They have skinny jeans. But if you do not like skinny jeans, they also have a style called “slim leg” jeans. These come in larger sizes. And there are boot cut ones too. They all sit below the waist. Their jeans run about $79.
