I’m interested in taking either the evans science of creativity seminar or the hernandez trials of harry potter seminar. Ratemyprofessors reviews seem to say evans is pretty cool, but hernandez doesn’t have any. If anyone has had either of these professors, especially hernandez, input about them would be appreciated!

I’m wondering about lolita too…my orientation is tomorrow.

My D took Science of Creativity with Evans her freshman year and LOVED it!!! From the stories she’s told us of her classes with him, it sounds wonderful. My D took another class with Evans last year as a junior, and it was also an amazing experience for her.

No info on the other prof or class…sorry.

I hear great things about Lolita; one of my friends loves her so much that he became a TI for her. I would recommend a course with her.

These classes sound so interesting! How does one come across these classes? Legit question-can non rc students take rc courses?

I believe so, but RC students have preference, and usually by the end of orientation only two writing seminars usually have open spots, and they’re not the most interesting (I believe last year it was African-American Lit and The American Family). However, if you wait until winter, Lolita’s class is usually offered then as well. Same goes for one that’s called Unteaching Racism. Both are some of the most popular seminars at the RC.
