It was reported he spent 12 hours per day with his attorneys in the attorney conference rooms because he didn’t want to be in his cell at all. He could afford it, so it paid them to come as much as allowed.
So where’s the sheet he hung himself with?? Haven’t ever heard it mentioned in any news report.
Why ‘Vanity Fair’ Story Left Out Abuse Allegations Against Epstein
https://www.npr.org/2019/08/22/753337520/why-the-media-didnt-pay-much-attention-to-jeffrey-epstein
Really creepy stuff.
A bullet and a dead cat’s head! It’s mafia stuff.
Ewwww, sounds very scary! Tough being a news reporter and dealing with powerful scumbags.
Prince Andrew Denies Knowing of Sex Trafficking by Epstein

And that’s why I say that no matter how much those 14 and 15 year olds committed to testify in either a federal or state trial, I think they would have backed out if it really came to testifying in open court (although federal trials are not televised). The girls were already being intimidated by ‘black SUVs’ running them off the road or parking outside their homes.
Not quite a horse’s bloody head in their beds, but close.
We are all complicit in a way with our admiration of success. We are inclined to close one eye for successful people.
Rafael Reif, the President of MIT sent a letter about this to all MIT alumni last month. MIT is trying to rectify this by donating an equivalent amount of money to nonprofits that help sex trafficking as I remember. MIT apologized to all its alumni for accepting donations from Jeff Epstein.
How an Elite University Research Center Concealed Its Relationship With Jeffrey Epstein

Director of M.I.T.’s Media Lab Resigns After Outcry Over Jeffrey Epstein Ties

Joi Ito was always controversial, as he did not have a college degree when he got to MIT back in 2011. He rectified that with a PhD degree in Japan. (He had attended several universities but not graduated He is an unusual man and interesting that he resigned from the MIT Media Lab, a very edgy institution from its inception.
He had strong ties to the inventor, Stan Ovshinsky in Detroit Michigan, who was a very big donor to MIT over the years, largely to the late David Adler at MIT for studying solar materials, like amorphous silicon.

I wonder if Ito will resign from Harvard Law school too? He is a visitor there. Imagine how much money he must have made as a director of MIT Media Lab and visiting at Harvard, and all without any college degrees and no law degree. Why would Harvard Law want a guy like this?

As I understand, this is different. These donations were made separately, anonymously to the lab. The apology does not cover them. From the above link to the New Yorker article,
Rafael Reif send a letter today, September 7, and he says MIT General Council is hiring a law firm to look into the new allegations that resulted in Ito resigning. The New Yorker Magazine might have had some things incorrect, but MIT will issue a statement after an investigation, is what today’s letter days. I don’t think I can cut and paste it here, as I remember, against CC rules. MIT is taking the allegations seriously. Ito is certainly a high profile individual, who had former President Obama’s ear.

Its hard to understand how an institution like MIT could hire a man without a college degree, but it happened.! MIT Media Lab is pretty unusual, is all I can say.
Epstein didn’t have a college degree either. Honestly, a college degree by itself doesn’t signify very much today. Of course the absence of a degree can certainly hinder most people in most fields - evidently not Ito and Epstein, though
Well, the whistle blower, Signe Swenson, who was a fundraiser for MIT Media labs, has two college degrees, one from Carlton College and one from Boston U. She resigned MIT and now works in Minneapolis, and her role and evidence are what the New Yorker Magazine.
Women need college degrees, MEN DO NOT. Its sick but its the world we live in. Ito got to MIT through Stan Ovshinsky and others. Stan was a major advisor for Ito. Stan was a deep pocket for MIT too, no wrongdoing that I know of, but certainly makes me think a lot about all these men. I was a grad student funded by Stan Ovskinsky at MIT in the early 1980s. Gosh darn it! He passed away about five years ago now.
Its exactly the point, men can do ANYTHING, including hob nob with President Obama. Women? Get two degrees, and get a low paying job raising funds !
Here is one of the cast of characters involved with courting Epstein funds at MIT. Raising science research funds is a murky business. in the USA. It seems the fundraising strategies portrayed on The sitcom, the Big Bang Theory, hit close to home! Wow.

Women without degrees do NOT get onto boards. Men do, see what Ito could do,
and how wide his influence goes. I would suspect he was helped by Jeff Epstein to get onto all these prestigious boards, which pay $100,000 stipends for his supreme knowledge !

Coloradomama, you truly had a close connection to some of these people.
The MIT parents FB group has been active, but I still learned from you. Sad
