Why do you think that being a great CEO for retail operations for decades is incompatible with being a sex offender? Your viewpoint is exactly what enables sex offenders to continue offending.
“Oh, no! Couldn’t be him! Pillar of the community! So successful! Great family man! He’s my friend! He’s my uncle! He’s the same as people in my social circle! He went to Princeton! He’s a PRIEST!”
I know it’s been mentioned before, but Gawker published the entire “little black book” of Epstein, and about 50 of the names had been circled. Epstein’s housekeeper, Alfredo Rodriguez, stole the book and tried to sell it in 2009. He went to jail for that. He circled the 50 or so names, saying that those people would be “material witnesses” against Epstein. Rodriguez has since died, so his exact meaning will unknowable unless some other form of documentation surfaces.
Les Wexner’s name was circled. (and several other famous names) Now, it might just mean he knows something and wasn’t necessarily an accomplice. But that’s pretty damning too.

ETA - having scrolled through the book, it seems to be more like 20-30 names, and some of them are not people but banks or apartments.
It just keeps getting weirder: Jeffrey Epstein “hoped to seed the human race with his DNA by impregnating women at his vast New Mexico ranch.”
This guy is like a smorgasboard of ghastly and weird all tied up with sick and criminal. You couldn’t invent someone this odious.

I was just going to post that. All I can say is ? barf
What a sick individual. ?
Narcissism at its finest.
Waiting for the Law & Order SVU episode based on his story.
@brantly, definitely! And I’m hopeful that SVU will also do one on Operation Varsity Blues featuring someone who bought their kid’s way into Hudson U.
So much material for them to work with of late. These episodes write themselves.
Names were revealed today. Bill Richardson, former Senator George Mitchell, Prince Andrew, Alan Dershowitz and some other lesser known men.
Al and Tipper Gore were new mentions. Most details on Prince Andrew. Nothing incriminating for Clinton or Trump.
What did naming the names reveal?? What did those people allegedly do?
Wexner wrote a letter apologizing to his charity foundation citing that $46 million was ‘misappropriated’ by Epstein. Don’t know all the details. That may have been when he severed ties.
I read an article today about Wexner and how he got caught up with Epstein. (I can’t find it now). Wexner thought Epstein was smart and liked him (1980’s and 1990’s) He put him in charge of a lot of his personal finances and business finances. Epstein lived in Wexner’s house in NYC and later bought it for $20M. What was interesting was that Epstein signed both sides of the deal, signing as a representative for a Wexner company that owned the townhouse, and this was in 2011, after the jail time was served. Article said that Epstein did ‘return’ the $46M to the charity that was owned (or controlled) by Mrs. Wexner.
Epstein was found dead in his cell this morning. He hanged himself.
Jeffrey Epstrein dead in apparent suicide:

Jut read that as well. So much for the suicide watch they had him on. Hung himself and was taken out of the facility around 7:30 am.
Call me cynical but this seems mighty convenient when you think of some of the powerful names implicated in this sordid saga. He was supposedly under suicide watch and yet still had the wherewithal in his cell to hang himself?
I agree. It is too convenient for powerful people implicated in the case. His earlier incident, that put him under suicide watch, was NOT self-inflicted. The wound/marks around his neck didn’t not match self inflict.
Cynic here again, assuming he was taken out to avoid a public trial that might also implicate powerful people.
