Cello- since 5th grade; since freshman year, I have participated in solo & ensemble yearly and regularly receive superior ratings at district and states.

<p>(school shut down most of its clubs after my sophomore year due to teachers’ contract negotiations :P)</p>

<p>Volunteering:
Assisted living residence (11,12)- one hour twice per week, helped with activities and talked to residents
Special needs program (11,12)- 4 hours once or twice per month, I basically hang out with the kids.
Other volunteer work with BBYO, my temple, etc
By November, I will have over 200 hours of community service.</p>

<p>-Employment
Hope to get a job this summer at a summer camp or store, but that’s about it as far as employment goes.</p>

<p>-Recs/essays
I haven’t gotten my recs yet, I’m guessing they’ll be fairly average.
I’m a pretty good writer so my essays should be strong.</p>

<p>I know my EC’s aren’t great but I’m really passionate about BBYO, volunteering, and cello and I hope it will show in my essays. Am I on the right track for these schools?</p>
