<p>Hoffa disappeared from the shopping center at the top of my street. The FBI interviewed at least one, maybe both of my brothers in the weeks afterwards; they stopped everyone who came through the shopping center asking if they saw anything at or around what was then the Macchus Red Fox restaurant, which sat out in the parking lot.</p>
<p>No one saw nuttin’. I never heard of anyone who saw anything from all of the kids in the neighborhood. And we talked about it. A main cut through into the subdivision was a few feet from the restaurant. </p>
<p>So every year or so they have a new “credible” claim about where Big Jim is buried. They never pan out but the media shows up everytime. </p>
<p>Remember the story of the Boy Who Cried Wolf? It doesn’t apply to the media.</p>
