I am an international student at Earlham college. I know that big consulting firms prioritise college’s prestige. How can I overweigh other candidates graduated from Ivies?
You might have abilities or experiences that those students do not. Being an international student is one, foreign study, projects, published research, the ability to write/communicate, multilingual ability. It will be very dependent on your abilities. There are some large companies that have realized that liberal arts graduates are flexible. You are correct however that while they might have heard of Oberlin or Kenyon, it is less likely that they have heard of Earlham. You might be more likely to be hired by a local branch of a large firm in your home country than by a recruiter in the USA.
