Hi not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I am looking for some internship opportunities. I am likely taking a gap year before I go to college, but technically have college sophomore standing because of my dual enrollment classes.
I am Looking for any off-cycle internship that is even remotely finance-related and looks good on a resume. I don’t care about comp, just looking for something to build my resume going into college. Does anyone have recommendations? Thanks!!
If you don’t need the money, get a volunteer job working for a CFO at a non-profit. Idealist.com is a good resource… you can call it an internship; if you get the right slot you’ll be doing financial analysis, creating cash flow summaries, maybe preparing documentation for the 990 filing or to increase the line of credit. All good skills to have! Many non-profits have big needs in the financial departments but run pretty lean… having a volunteer who is financially savvy is a huge win for them.

Any job will be fine for a gap year. You could work as a bank teller. Larger firms like Schwab and Fidelity will hire HS grads in certain customer service roles. Any of these types of jobs would provide good knowledge of the industry and lots of networking opportunities.
Volunteering could work too, another good resource for that is Americorps. Choose AmeriCorps VISTA | AmeriCorps

Sounds good I will check that out. Thanks!
Great! Working for one of those companies would look great on a resume I’ll check that out as well. Do you know of an age minimum for those jobs? I am not 18 yet and I am having trouble finding if that is an issue.
I suggest you look into Americorps. IIRC, there is a small scholarship for college that goes along with this.
