So I wanted to know what my personal potential for finding a job after I graduate.
I’m currently a rising Junior at a small but reputable Liberal Arts and Science College in the south majoring in Business Administration. My current GPA is 3.32 so it’s alright, but nothing special.
I have a decent amount of job experience since I’ve worked as a lifeguard every summer since 2012, and worked my way up to Manager in 2015. This summer I was promoted to Regional Supervisor for my company and run seven pool, one of which is the largest in the region. As supervisor I pretty much make sure pools are staffed, manage the budget and supplies while also training new managers on how to run a pool without me. While at school I’ve maintained two part-time as a server and cook for Catering and a local restaurant.
So yeah, I want to get into Consulting or Advisory when I graduate, but I’ve heard it’s really damn competitive. My GPA isn’t quite high enough for a Big Four Advisory branch, but I maybe the work experience would be a good hook when looking for work. Let me know what you guys think, am I hire-able or a desirable candidate in any way?
