Job prospects after MS in PetE, No Work ex?

<p>I’m a PetE undergrad from India. I got into the MS program at Penn State but without any funding. I don’t mind taking loans but I’ve been told:</p>

<p>a) MS in PetE is worthless without work ex.
b) The opportunities in the North are limited since there are fewer companies than in the South(Texas etc).</p>

<p>Is this true? And what are my chances of getting a job after MS considering I don’t have any work ex yet.</p>
