<p>There are five HUGE industries listed above. Basically, mechanical engineers work for any company that makes and sells a product. That sounds like a lot of jobs to me.</p>
<p>What about the energy industry? I work for an electric utility company at a coal-fired power plant. There is plenty of work for mechanical engineers to do in this industry.</p>
