Jobs?

So, who here has a job? What do you do? Or is school your job… heheh.

I work at Laserquest (www.laserquest.com) and it’s awesome. It’s a laser tag place (obviously). Not only do I take the games in and explain how it works to people, but half the time I do tech on the lasers and the packs. I fix the sensors, lights, PCPs, and the lasers themselves.

It’s usually a big blast (ah-hah.) and it DEFINITELY beats flipping burgers. When I was a freshman I also worked lights at a theatre in town.

Anybody else? Jobs are usually the thing that college apps treat lightly; I wish there had been a “explain your role” section on the MIT app, at least. Oh well!

I was a Segway HT technician/tour guide/trainer & NEV (neighborhood electric vehicle) tech for a firm with a store down here. Certainly different, and at the time took some wrangling with LLC to get them to okay my employment - the company president was kind enough to write me a letter of rec that was sent in as a piece of additional material.

I run a computer repair/consulting business.

Awesome! A company president rec and a… company president!
