John Jay double

Could someone explain how John Jay doubles work? I heard there’s some kind of partition between the two areas of the room for each person…tia

3 doubles per floor. 2 are walkthrough (a doorway separates the two rooms, which allows for 2 singles although one has to walk through one single to get to the other) and the other is a standard double (and terrible).

or you can put the desks and fridge, etc in one room and sleep in the other

is there still one phone to be shared or two separate ones?

All doubles (walk through or regular) will have 1 shared phone.

If you’re in a walkthrough double, you obviously want to grab the inside room (farthest from the door) if you can. The other room gives you less privacy and is smaller because you lose space since the door needs to swing.
