Hi, I was recently admitted to Stern with the Paulson scholarship. Does anybody know if the scholarship is renewable every year? If so, what are the conditions (gpa/income) requirements I must maintains. Thank you!

Hi, The only information I found was news about the gift of $20 million from Hedge Fund Founder, John Paulson, to NYU Stern. It is a HIGH MERIT, HIGH NEED scholarship according to the news release. Other students from Stern have said that it is a tough scholarship to get. However, there seems to be no information in the FA office’s school-specific scholarships section. Since so few people get this scholarship and it is not well publicized by NYU, I recommend you to call the FA Office directly about any conditions attached to renewal. Normally, scholarships like these are renewable for the 4 years, but maybe with conditions. Call to clarify. Unless the first poster to ask about this scholarship this year has gotten more info, reads this thread and has additional info to share.

Hi, thanks for the response! I had emailed them about it several days ago and never received a response (I’m assuming they’re super busy filing paperwork right now).

Congrats, that’s our most prestigious. I’m fairly certain that’s need-based and merit-based, so you got it based off your financial need and academic record in high school. It ought to be renewable just based on financial need alone.
