I think it is standard practice to inform the school counselor For my DD, the counselor was made aware for each of her three waitlists, after she accepted the waitlist. The school counselor typically follows-up with sending the updated transcript.
@athena234 same here, only got the first email but not the second. Hopefully it’s just bc they have different ways of communicating to us. anyways, Good luck!
@itgirl2020 thank you, you too! Also it seems funny because nobody else I spoke to got the second email either.
GUYS! I was admitted this morning to the class of 2024 for a bio major!!! This is insane and I think this means they have spots available. Good luck to you all!! I didn’t get an email I just logged into my account and it had a status update!
@Satanna Congratulations!
@Satanna Wow congrats! That gives some hope of available spots. Thanks for updating us! If you don’t mind saying, what region in the US are you from? Could the order of decision release be made based on region?
@Satanna Congratulations. See you in Fall.
I also got my acceptance this afternoon. Super excited. All of you out there, please do not lose hope. I know how it feels as I have been there till this afternoon. Just believe in Almighty and your hard work. I hope it works out for all of you. Good luck to you all and my best wishes.
@itgirl2020 thanks and I’m from Illinois so maybe region affects it; I’m not sure.
@Innovationdue Congratulations! Was it finally BME or your 2nd choice major?
@ata2020 My second choice major.
Good luck and take care!!!
Anyone else get off the waitlist yet? Or still waiting…(my portal says that I’m still on the waitlist so hoping they’ll send out decisions soon, for closure).
I’m waiting too… I think we had only one wave of acceptances right now (I’ve seen roughly two people getting off). Try emailing your regional AO if you want more information. Good luck, let’s try to move on…
Yeah, the acceptances definitely come in waves. I currently know 5ish people personally who were admitted off the waitlist, and the vast majority of them committed – don’t lose hope, it definitely feels like this is a good year for waitlisted kids. Also, if you are admitted, I believe you can still appeal for more aid if necessary. (Also if you’re admitted please join our groupme chat we love making new friends)
@womaninstem I committed, but how do I join the group me??
@Satanna I’m going to message you the link to join - I would post it on this forum, but we’ve had raids from other schools due to our link being public.
Hi guys I just found this thread super late, but I was admitted off the waitlist on May 5th. Before that I have only received one confirmation email at the end of April. I finished high school oversea - in New Zealand - and I don’t really know if that affects the acceptance.
For those of you still waiting, hopefully this is useful and good luck!
@womaninstem can you please also message me the link? Super excited to meet the others, thank you!
Hey! Has anyone heard of another wave of wailist acceptances? I emailed AO but they didn’t give me an answer yet. I hope they are not full
I’m a transfer applicant on the waitlist and I haven’t heard anything from them either.
I heard that the ivy’s were releasing waitlist in late June and I hope JHU does the same. Crossing my fingers!
Hey Guys! I got a response from AO saying that there is no timeline for the waitlist decisions. I hope that does not mean they are full
