does anyone have a section called “appeal for new/increased assistance” under upload materials?
Yes, just checked and saw it! I have it from 1-5
Under ‘upload materials’ I only see the option to choose file and upload. Below that I have number to contact if I have questions. Nothing else
You have to click it then it shows

I got the email, too… it’s honestly like they put that disclaimer there just for us on CC, haha:
“Admission status for any applicant is not released via email, nor does this email imply any confirmed admission status.”
I got the “Appeal for assistence” choices from the drop down list as well. That’s definitely new and wasn’t there before, as yesterday I was resubmitting forms and the first thing that was on the list was “Copy of death certificate.”

I see Appeal Assistance, and I also see 5 documents for request to match financial aid @CarBarlos @hrwalle
So I submitted my application in October and it says my FAFSA was processed 2/28/2020. Good news?
