Johns Hopkins 2024 RD/Deferred Applicants Discussion

And yes I have that section.

I also have request to match financial aid offer.

@lightningzoom no, none of that means anything; you can look at past JHU threads

@lightningzoom where is the request to match financial aid offer?

Edit: nvm i found it!

My upload dropdown box shows 5 appeals for assistance at the top:

Appeal for New/Increased Assistance
Appeal for New/Increased Assistance 2
Appeal for New/Increased Assistance 3
Appeal for New/Increased Assistance 4
Appeal for New/Increased Assistance 5

Also 5 “Requests to Match Financial Aid Offer.”

I guess everyone has the same. Even I do have that. It means nothing!!

I agree with that. Financial aid department and admission office are completely disconnected from each other( to stay need blind). All these updates and all means nothing in regards to admitted or rejected students

18 hrs to go!!

Can you link to those threads? I haven’t been able to find any.

The match financial aid offer has been there ever since I got the portal.

I am an international applicant from India. I am not seeing any Withdraw your application option which is normally there in all application portals. Is it that JHU Portal never had it or gone missing for few indicating admissions decision being processed? Does it mean anything like acceptance?

No, it doesn’t, I’m afraid. The JHU portal never had it. The decisions come out in a few hours anyway, so please don’t worry.

If you father is not in your life, you can fill out a CSS Non-custodial waiver… I think that is the name… It exempts you from having to get his financials, etc. Some colleges accept it , some require additional explanations. At least for my DS they did. Boston College sent a firm email saying they still wanted the paternal info, even after we explained that father hadn’t seen his DS in 6 years. DS had to have discussion.

Rejection in 6 hours…

I have Cold Feet! My earnest regards to everyone on this thread and I would like to thank y’all for being there through this confusing yet important process!

@TANVI2002 Heyo, another intl from India out here. Did you apply for fin aid?

@LyricalLeader @TANVI2002 I’m also an International applicant from India.

Yes, I did apply for aid…

@aarybalkar oh, alright. Mind sharing your stats?

Good luck everyone! Hopkins is my dream school and I’m just so nervous.
