Johns Hopkins Class of 2019 RD Applicants!!

@jduer96‌ You might want to contact the admissions office. The decisions are available in a little over a week, so you should do this asap.

@Curlyllama
From what I remember your major is not considered in freshmen admission unless you applied as a BME.

@NewportHSSenior‌ hey there… I’ve seen you on this thread, the Rochester one, and the Emory one… Looks like we’ve applied to the same schools…

@HvFder YUPP GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!

I’m so nervous, JHU seems like such a great school!!

Does anyone know what the non-BME acceptance rate is?

@S0U10H03‌ Last year, the overall acceptance rate was 15%. I’d assume that BME wouldn’t skew it that much, but it’s probably no greater than 17-18% if we’re being generous.

I don’t even care if I get into a Ivy League. Johns Hopkins is my first choice right now. I would attend this school over Harvard if the financial aid is the same.

Cash stashed in a plasma, that’s a paper-view

@NewportHSSenior‌ you too!!!

How heavily does JHU weigh GPA?

@Curlyllama‌ GPA alone does not tell admissions officers anything. Things like what kind of classes, difficulty level of classes, class rank, etc. play a role. JHU, just like pretty much every selective college in the universe, requires high academic ability, so GPA is very important in many cases. Hope this helps.

Thank you so much!
I have a really high SAT but a low/decent gpa…hoping for the best

One week.

I am a current Hopkins student. If you have any questions ask.

Thanks @Stealthman

@StealthMan how’s the applied math program? Did u hear anything about it?

@S0U10H03‌ the applied mathematics and statistics program is excellent. There are numerous ways for the undergraduate students to pursue their own research projects. Visit http://engineering.jhu.edu/ams/ for more information on the major, professors, and current research.

When do we find out? The 27th or the 28th? Does anyone know?

@sarrahhdaherr‌ 27th. 3PM ET.
