do u guys think an international has a chance to get off the waitlist?
I think it depends, especially with you. Since internationals have to get visas and I know those take time.
Hopkins already knows this and will only be taking people in an extreme circumstance if there are significant covid disruptions due to the class being beyond full.
Move in for Hopkins is August 21st. Expect a mass update before then.
So basically this week will probably be the week if we hear anything about anyone being accepted or at least for me since my move in day is the same day.

yeah thatās what i was thinking! they kind of have to say something this week I couldnāt really see this situation going into next week bc a lot of people are moving in then or at least I am and I donāt really see myself thinking about hopkins when im moving into a new school it kind of ends there and im sure a lot of people feel like that

Guys are any other waitlists still open at this point? I just donāt understand why Hopkins is waiting so much longer to close than other schools.
I think itās just Hopkins, a lot of schools closed around the first week of August and last week of July. I think this might be the week we hear something because next week a lot of people are moving into their dorms. Iām guessing their waiting on any internationals to get back to them. Also their has been a spike in the new version of COVID in Maryland(I know because I work here, there was a whole issue after the fair) so Iām guessing their waiting on any final information. My guess there trying to get their numbers right before they accept people, so after accepting people they can close the waitlist.
thatās what I was thinking too they started their extended waitlist around the time other schools were closing so they must have already been running into some issues and anticipating waitlist movement
More administrative backlog as they need to parse deferrals and enrollees for space. Thereās no anticipated movement at this juncture.
So you believe they wonāt take anyone off the waitlist. Then in your opinion why do they decide to keep it open for this long especially move in day is right around the corner. Since they can easily mass email everyone to let them know itās closed.

I donāt think she has been aggressive at all, like itās hard to stay positive when you have people trying to put people down and say nope not going to happen. Like do you blame her the school kept it open for this long, dragging it out for no reason even though other schools closed theirs. You would have probably felt the same way in her shoes.
Also you havenāt really been nice about telling us things. Every time people try to say maybe there is a chance you literally pop out of nowhere saying theirs not. Itās kinda weird

thatās not true lmao i just donāt trust you- so what youāre a hopkins student who took it upon themself to let down the kids on the waitlist whenever you have an opportunity? and what do you sit in on the admissions committeeās waitlist discussions? you say everything you say with so much conviction yet thereās no way of you actually knowing and itās almost always negative tbh i donāt think you actually go to hopkins and I donāt really know what youāre getting out of doing this but please pleaseee tell me your zodiac sign im so interested is it scorpio?? or a virgo?
I think you should maybe stop posting here, I think your comments are falling upon deaf ears. And you really arenāt helping anyone, if that is even your intention. You also have to realize that everyone is sensitive and upset over the fact that they have not been clearly rejected or accepted. I have decided to go with my second choice school months ago. But I checked this forum again to see if anyone has been accepted so I can congratulate them, but here you are still hereā¦ like apparently you go to JHU but what do you have to gain from this. You keep saying everyone is ignoring the truth, but if they have been ignoring you for months wouldnāt you stop by nowā¦ Something to think about it.
