Joining a sorority!

I’m super excited, I’m finally entering the world of Greeks!

I’ve wanted to be in a sorority since high school, but I went to a college that doesn’t allow Greek life. However, it does exist underground, and I found out about it last semester and and pursued it. The organization requires that you go to informational meetings before you can be considered an official interest. Usually you are required to go to 3, but since I’ve been to multiple events with sisters, they said for me 2 was okay.

So anyway, I went to my second one last night, and later today I’m going to sign the contract to become an official interest so I can start working on the requirements to become a sister. The goal of the president and vice-president is to have me cross and become a sister in the spring.

I’m not sure what exactly the requirements are as an interest, but I know that it includes fundraising, volunteer work, writing an essay and a resume and a bunch of other things.

What should I expect in the process of being an interest and pledging for the sorority?

Yay!

I just signed the contract and am an official interest of the sorority!! The president and vice-president gave me a list of requirements that I need to start working on, and when I have those completed, they’ll give me more.

I have another meeting set up with them on Monday to go over a few more things, and to get pinned!!

I’m so happy and excited!!!
