Joint Major in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science

I would appreciate it if any current or former Yalies would let me know about how many students opt for this joint major and how difficult it is to have two different majors. It seems that the Computer Science Department is technically not part of the Engineering School, but it is described in some detail in at least one publication by SEAS. Are there any problems getting coordination on senior projects from faculty members in each department? Exactly when does one declare a major in a department or two at Yale? Thanks for any guidance.

FYI on engineering. There may be better schools for dual engineering majors.

Not a student. I was looking for info on Annie Le, and came across this on Yale Daiily News; [Yale Daily News - A small school with grand ambitions](http://www.yaledailynews.com/news/scitech-news/2009/09/22/small-school-grand-ambitions/)

I’d do one or the other but not both. Get through your freshman year first. See your advisor.
