Would anyone like to read my essay about Journalism for the Medill School of Journalism? I talked about my passion for journalism in this essay.

sure i’ll read it.

My passion for basketball and journalism started on a cold April night in Philadelphia. I was eight years old at the time. My Dad came home and asked me whether I wanted to go to the 76ers game with him and his friends from work; I said, “Yes”. At the time, I knew nothing about basketball. Little did I know that basketball would become one of my main interests. As the end of the game was approaching, the lead kept changing. All of the people there, including me, couldn’t stop jumping out of our seats. When Allen Iverson came to the free throw line late in the game, the whole crowd was silent. When he made the free throws, the crowd and I went wild. However, the excitement of the game wasn’t the only thing that caught my attention that night. The interview that the sideline reporter was having with Iverson caught my attention. I was close enough to hear almost every question the reporter asked. Listening to that interview was probably one of the most enjoyable things I listened to in my entire life. The reporter’s questions sounded so detailed, which made me want to keep on listening. She also laughed a few times during the interview. She seemed to being have fun while doing her job, which doesn’t seem to happen to most people in this day and age. When the interview was over, I started to wonder; do I want to become a sports journalist in the future? Talking and writing about basketball would be a career that I would enjoy. However, it was just a thought. I soon realized that basketball was not the only sport about which I was passionate. I started to watch other sports, such as soccer, football, hockey, and tennis. I always found myself in a local caf

Not so good.

You talk about going to a game with your dad, some interviewer doing her job and going to a bar with your uncle. There is almost nothing in this essay ABOUT YOU or what you have done, what challenges you faced or what experience you’ve gained.

P.S. "which doesn’t seem to happen to most people in this day and age. " too negative.
