So I’m thinking of attending UNC this year as a freshman (which is a top 5 journalism program and is known for preparing students well for law school). I’ve been aiming at perhaps doing business, but I just don’t think business is for me (unless it’s marketing, advertising, etc.) I love journalism and writing, but the little to no money factor really turns me off to it along with my parents’ refusal to support my college education if I major in journalism with the intentions of becoming a journalist. I am, however, extremely interested in journalism/media law- 1st admendments, libel/slander, copyright issues, shield laws. If I was to go into a joint journalism and law program for grad school, what kinda jobs does this open up for me? Only a lawyer or journalist, or what?
