Jr. Thinking of McGill

I am a Jr. thinking of applying to McGill as an Astronomy/Physic major and was wondering what about my chances. My stat (current and anticipated) are:
• SAT: Taking in June but likely will only submit ACT w/SAT II’s
• SAT IIs: Taking this Sat (Math II. Chem and Physics) and anticipate
being over 700 on each
• ACT: 31 Composite, 32 “Super” Composite, 33 Math, 35 Science
• GPA: 3.6ish
• Rank: Top 12% probably Top 10% by the end of my Junior year
• Rigor - By End of Senior Year I will have taken 6 AP Course (Physics
(as a Jr.), Calculus, World History, Chemistry & Biology) and 11
Honors Courses
Location/Person:
• State or Country: NJ
• School Type: mid size public
• Ethnicity: white
• Gender: male

I am also considering Cornell, Univ. of Maryland, Univ. of Illinois, Univ. of Wisconsin, Univ. of Michigan, Penn State and a few others – yes it’s a long list but I cannot cull it quite yet.

Sounds like you have a good chance. I don’t know about ACT scores and what is equivalent to the SAT I–but my son had similar stats with 2130 in the SAT 1, 720 in Math II SAT II and 700 in Physics SAT II. He applied for engineering to McGill, Michigan, Illinois, Texas, Purdue, Penn State, and Vanderbilt, and was admitted to each of them. He had tons of extracurriculars, which apparently aren’t considered for McGill. Btw, he’s going to McGill.
