How do jumps in SAT scores look? Bad as in you didn’t try hard enough the first time or good that you kept increasing.

Also, can you guys post all your SAT I scores? From the first to your current score (Cumulative). I just want to see what normal jumps should be.

yeah, i really dont think they care about jumps because all they care about is what they can report as their SAT average to US News & World Reports and the like

if ur score jumps too much college admissions officers don’t like it too much because they think you were either lazy or had too much prep studying and therefore defeating the purpose of the test.
Hey don’t shoot the messenger, that was on an Ivy article from 98

I went from a 1330, to a 1360, to a 1450, and I never really had prep. I just got better at test taking and the more advanced high school classes gave me an upper hand on them.

Did you take prep courses like someone else suggested?

How did you guys improve so much? I screwed up badly and got a 570 verbal (650 on PSATS as a sophomore, so I know I can do much better). I’m hoping to get up to a 700 if possible. Any advice? I suck at the reading comprehension.

I went from 1420 to 1440 in 5 months. and 1440 to 1570 in 1 month. The test with the 1570 was simply easier. I guess I just got lucky. Does that look bad?

i hate the SAT, i got as high as 1460 on a practice test… and every practice test was 770+ math, then i took the real thing and got 720 630… i plain just suck at taking tests… its not that i suck at math… i got a 100 for the year in calculus… i just do stupid stuff on the really easy questions =
