That’s correct, it was .10mol or something like that which ended up to .6g

yes i got 6g and silicon dioxide is main component in glass

SiO2. (10char)

And oh yea, silicon dioxide is used for glass.

EDIT: Beat me to it.

so, i guess we can discuss. Here goes:

Ok so, questions I remember:

Most accurate for measuring 27 mL of a substance - buret

silicon dioxide is main component of glass

I. calorimeter
II. balance
III. thermometer
Which are needed to measure specific heat. It’s (E) I,II, and III

Lewis structure for HCN - can’t really draw it but it was a single bond between H and C and a triple bond between C and N with N having a lone pair.

The Cadmium 77 percent question: Cd(OH)2

The drop off in volume in NH3 for that data was because of condensation.

Titrate 2 moles of Al(OH)3 with 3 moles of H2SO4

Lab safety Question:
I. Never pour water into Acid
II. Return unused chemicals to original container
III. Always were eye protection
answer is I and III

Blue compound: Copper Sulfate Pentahydrate = CuSO4 . 5H2O
White Compound: Ammonium Nitrate

HCO3- can act as an acid or base

CO3-2 was a conjugate base in the provided acid-base reaction.

One series of the first 22 questions:
Delta H sublimation: CO2(s) –> CO2(g)
Delta H fusion: H2O(s) –> H2O(l)
Delta H combustion: O2(g) was a reactant
Delta H combination: Na + Cl –> Nacl

Another series in the first 22:
Cu+2 + Fe –> Cu + Fe+2 - Oxidation Reduction
Polymerization was reaction (C) I don’t remember the reaction but it was the two reactants were hydrocarbons and one of the products was a bigger hydrocarbon.

2 questions I skipped, in the first 22:
Cl- ions in water add Silver nitrate, precipitate will form
Carbonate into water – gas will be released.

coefficient of O2 in that combustion reaction was 13.

one of the Statement I and II CE ones:
Adding NaCl to a saturated solution, no change in concentration = T
NaCl is soluble at 25 degrees C = T
NOT CE

That’s all I got for now, I might think of some more though. I got a total of 8 CE’s which sounds a little high but I was pretty confident. For questions 108-113 I think they were all CE. Too bad I don’t really remember the Questions.

i got sooo many trues, and alot of CE’s. it was weird. I didn’t count mine, and i don’t remember them but i was beginning to doubt my answers lol.

for the one about the different delta H’s, was there an option of h2o (l) –> H2O (g)? i am scared i picked that by accident.

and why cant you add water to an acid? i said I and III but I didnt remmeber why lol.

Just a rule that my chem teacher stressed = NEVER pour water into acid.

What is the main component in glass?

SiO2

What is the lewis-dot structure of HCN?

H-C TRIPPLE BOND N TWO EXTRA e

What would be the formula of CxOy if it is added to one mol of oxygen and produces .5 moles of carbon dioxide?

C2O3

the oxidation states in aluminum sulfide?
Aluminum: +3
Sulfur: -2

the one asking about which is hydration was: CuSO4 . 5H2O (WHICH IS ALSO BLUE)

Which is combustion?

C3H8 + O2 H20 + CO2

A catalyst does what to A + B C?

Speeds up the forward and reverse reactions

forms a precipitate?

adding HCL to AgNO3

***also what did u guys put for the one about the modern atomic theory??? (i put C im not sure what that was tho…it might have been A)

did u guys get a few Ds in a row?? i got scared lol

i got 7 CEs

lots of d’s in a row. i notice these stupid little patterns too.

i was torn between atoms being indestructible and releasing quantums of energy… i put the indestructible one, but im not sure??

i only got 4 CE’s
DAMN.

Would taking AP chem help? or is self studying w/ regular chem just as easy? lol

On that one about PH3.

Was it TF or TTCE?

I don’t really recall the wording of the second statement. (was “equally” in the sentence?)

yes taking AP chem would help, but i’m sure there are a thousand other threads out there that answer that question. search for them. self studying is easy if you d evote alot of time to it

i said TF because there was not “mutual” repulsion or whatever because that would end up with nonpolar

that ph3 question the first part was true because it does indeed have pyramidal molecule shape, the second part was really weird about mutually repelling or something. idk, but i said T,T,CE.

Ya, the wording was really iffy. I don’t know why, but I took much longer to finish this test than ones in all other practice books, so I hope I didn’t make stupid mistakes because I didn’t have much time to go back.

does anyone know the usual curve? how much does it depend on how everyone does overall?
